The dust has settled after the rocket explosion in Dnipro

Ukraine

On the 24th of February 2022, Russia launched a military offensive into Ukraine, causing civilian casualties and destroying the country’s infrastructure. More than a quarter of the population has been forced to flee their homes. In the first few weeks, more than 4.3 million refugees fled Ukraine, and a second as many were internally displaced. It is the fastest growing refugee crisis since World War II.

We cannot be indifferent to the suffering of our neighbours – we immediately set out to help!

The dust has settled after the rocket explosion in Dnipro. The topic has faded from the headlines although the rescue operation is still ongoing. The search for 20 people is still ongoing. 44 people have died, including several young children. Media interest is waning, but the need has not lessened. There are more and more of them.

Jan, the head of our team in Dnipro is coordinating the work on the ground. Together with the Good Factory team, we are organising psychological support and supplying immediate response tents with medication. Our team visits the residents of the four neighbouring buildings affected by the explosion. They have no windows, but the entire neighbourhood is also without electricity, gas and mobile coverage. In addition, it is cold. All this makes our Warm Packages a basic and urgent need at the moment.

Thank you for your support! If you know of anyone else who would like to support the affected very concretely, please share the link to the fundraiser with them.
