Homelessness is never a choice.
You have nothing. You’re lying in a cold, abandoned building in a part of the city that fell ill and died a long time ago. You hear the faint hum of the city’s still-alive parts. There are no rules here—just muggings, beatings, and theft.
The decision to live without a home is made where no other choice is left. How desperate must Wiktoria’s situation have been, what caused her to rummage through a dumpster enclosure, searching for old blankets and pillows to survive the winter? What must have happened at her home for her to never want to return?
Renata, Michał, Stanisław, Monika, Bogdan, and Maria—none of them want to reek of dirt. None of them want to shiver in the cold. It’s not a choice. Helping the homeless during winter is about saving lives. While we can’t solve all their problems, we can buy them time they need to face them.
Good Factory’s annual winter campaign is here again. Our Warm Packages will reach the homeless on the outskirts of Warsaw. This year, we’re partnering with the city’s Municipal Guard.
A warm sleeping bag, thermos, jacket, boots, hat, and gloves can genuinely save a life. Being invisible in the winter kills. Let’s see those people. Join us in delivering Warm Packages!
