Equipment for the rehabilitation room in the hospice

A few years ago, we hired a physiotherapist at the hospice in Kabuga. Thanks to his work, many patients have made remarkable progress. Those who were once bedridden are now able to sit up and regain basic independence. Seeing their own improvement gives them strength, restores their will to live, and motivates them to keep fighting their illness. Outside the hospice, they would never have had the chance for regular therapy under the guidance of a specialist.

We took it a step further! We helped the Sisters of the Angels build a rehabilitation room and set up spaces with hydrotherapy bathtubs—an invaluable aid for patients struggling with muscle spasticity. Now, we are doing everything we can to equip the rehabilitation room with professional therapy equipment. One of our biggest wishes is to get a proper standing frame for Louise. Through rehabilitation, she has defied expectations—where others saw no hope after her accident, she has proven them wrong. Once completely bedridden and dependent on others, she is now moving independently in a wheelchair and reclaiming her life.

For our patients, regular therapy is not just about pain relief and a better quality of life—it’s about hope. Because at our hospice, we live fully—until the very end.
