A therapeutic meal for a child with hunger disease

At the hospital in Ntamugenga, there is a pediatric ward that treats children suffering from acute malnutrition, as well as a dedicated malnutrition treatment center for children diagnosed with that illness. Hunger—alongside malaria—is the greatest threat to the health and lives of young children. Every six seconds, a child dies of hunger somewhere in the world, and nearly a billion people do not know whether they will have food tomorrow. Many of them live in the villages near our hospital.
Feeding a malnourished child is not just about satisfying hunger—it is also a form of medical treatment. We encourage you to provide a therapeutic meal, enriched with essential nutrients and specially prepared for children suffering from severe malnutrition. Join us in this life-saving mission!
For just €4, we can provide anything from a single therapeutic meal to full-day nutrition for a child, along with comprehensive treatment for associated illnesses, depending on the child’s health and needs. This includes specialized medical foods such as F-100 therapeutic milk.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t the people of the DRC handle this crisis on their own?
Armed conflicts between the army and the M23 rebels make farming life-threatening for the local population. Our hospital has been under fire multiple times, yet it continues to provide shelter. As battle lines shift, they leave behind devastated and landmined fields, robbing people of everything they had.
Before the conflict reignited in 2022, we had nearly eliminated child hunger in the Ntamugenga region. We are striving to restore that progress as soon as possible.
Why isn’t government aid in the DRC enough?
The government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo supplies nutritional products such as Plumpy’Nut sachets, but the quantity is insufficient to treat all the malnourished children who come to our center. Our support goes beyond basic nutrition—it includes in-depth diagnostics, education of the parents, and, when necessary, full medical care.
What % of my donation will go towards aid?
Your entire donation, minus a small payment processing fee (PayU/PayPal), will be used for aid and does not serve as a source of income for the Good Factory Foundation. If you’d like to support the Foundation’s statutory goals, click here.
Can I support the children without giving my personal information?
